Monty K. Rue is a Swedish-Lithuanian author who had big dreams but little opportunities when she was a little girl. For years, stories filled with magic whispered in the back of her mind, until the voices of her fictional characters grew too loud to ignore.

She finally decided to write her first book—one of many still waiting to be told.

Monty grew up loving fictional languages and studied linguistics at university for three years. She now continues to learn about different languages in her free time, hoping to one day create a fully functioning fictional language for her books. One such language is Ta’arikin (Tari), developed for her upcoming romantasy project, Project Sand (title TBA).
